My name is Erin Kimbrough and I have been teaching for eight years. Two of those years I was at West Plains Middle School, teaching fifth grade language, science and social studies and six of those years at the West Plains Elementary, where I taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades. I have lived in Pottersville for nearly 25 years. My husband and I have a small farm with goats and cattle. We have 2 children, Kyle, who is 20 years old and pursuing a career in music in Wichita Kansas and Abbey, who is a Junior at West Plains High School. She is on the tennis team, in Beta and on student council.I enjoy the dramatic arts and am involved with many of the projects at the Avenue Theatre. I currently teach a couple of drama classes there for students between 3rd grade and High School. I love being in the summer musical and all that goes along with that, from costumes to makeup to painting the scenery. Making a story “come to life,” is one of my most favorite things. I believe that my love for the dramatic arts translates well in my classroom. Students often call me the “weird” teacher or “crazy” and they would be correct. I prefer a fun classroom in which we can move around and ask questions.  I have always felt normal was boring.
